Back to School Carnival - August 25th, 2007

This is an in-door Saturday event with games, food, crafts for the homeless children in the Adopt-A-Family Program plus children from recent graduate families. The hours are Friday afternoon for set-up and Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm.

Before leaving the carnival, each parent can pick up a new school outfit for each of their children plus they can select all of the school supplies their children will need for the new school year. The school outfit includes pants, shirt, underwear and a backpack.

Approximately 150 homeless children will attend this event. Each of them will need an outfit for school. If you would like to adopt one or more of these children, contact Donna Riddick, Adopt-A-Family Director. She will send you a list of names, ages, and sizes so that you can shop for the children you adopt.

Businesses or groups that would like to adopt a group of children should plan on an expense of about $100/child.

If you would like to volunteer to help with this project contact Jeremy Harrison, Volunteer Coordinator.

If you would like to be a financial sponsor for this project, contact Amy Walker, Development Director.
