Mother's Day Dinner

Each year the CEC hosts a special Mother’s Day Dinner benefiting moms in the Adopt-A-Family  and Open Arms Programs. Most of these mothers are the only adult in a family with young children and there isn't anyone in the family to acknowledge the mothers on Mother's Day. The CEC staff and volunteers hold an annual event in their honor to recognize them.

 

Door prizes, goody bags, dinner, and a speaker or entertainment are provided along with child care during the event. This is a wonderful event that gives volunteers a chance to meet some of the families being helped by the Adopt-A-Family and Open Arms Programs.

This year’s event was hosted by the Colleyville Woman’s Club who generously donated food, beverages and gifts as well as served dinner to the guests. Richland Hills Church of Christ hosted the event in their 24/7 facility. Jenefer Campbell and Pantego Bible Church donated door prizes    and Debbie Clinton decorated the room with antique hats and photos.
