Open Arms Program Information
The Open Arms program is a 24-month transitional housing program that assists victims of domestic violence and their children by providing the counseling, education and employment assistance, groceries plus a safe and secure place to live. The program gives women and their children the emotional, vocational, and spiritual encouragement to start a new life with the skills and resources to become and maintain their independence.
Who benefits from the Open Arms program?
Women and their children who have suffered and escaped from an abusive situation are the primary people served by this program. These women often require a secure place to live while they work on the next steps to starting a new life.

What is the Open Arms service area?
The Open Arms Program serves victims of domestic violence. There is no geographic limitation on a women’s past residence. Most come from the Dallas/Fort Worth
metroplex.
The program owns a seven acre secure campus in north Fort Worth, Texas. The campus has space for 10 women and their children. The program also owns a building with four apartments close to the campus. Together up to 14 women can be housed at a time.
